Pregnancy Week 32:
How Far Along: 32 weeks, 2 days
Total Weight Gain: 18 pounds
Maternity Clothes: Yep, but in the picture I'm not. I'm just wearing some Old Navy sweats and an Express tank -- I suppose that's why the bump looks SUPER big-- because the clothes ain't hidin' it!
Stretch Marks: Nope!
Sleep: Not good. I was awake last night at 3am and never even went back to sleep. Fortunately, I wasn't tired at all today during work, but I'm starting to feel it now. I rushed and did all my chores when I got home and I'm getting ready to fix supper so it can be an early/lazy night on the couch. I just have bouts of insomnia a few nights a week. However, on Friday night, I slept like Rip Van Winkle had been visiting, it was amazing. I was asleep by 11 and slept until after 9 -- HEAVENLY!
Best Moment this week: Oh I have 3!!
1. Going to the doctor last Tuesday!! I passed my 3-hour glucose test with "flying colors"... Hallelujah! I may be bruised (and yes, I am STILL bruised almost a week later). She estimates that baby will be around 7 pounds, 6 ounces by birth so that's a good healthy weight. I only gained one pound in 2 weeks though so she's watching me for that to make sure the weight continues to go up about a pound weekly. Baby seems to still be head-down (You better stay that way little one!), and her heartbeat was a beautiful 140bpm.
2. Finally getting the nursery painted and semi-set up. So we aren't DONE with the nursery yet BUT at least we've made a start. We had painters come Tuesday while we were at the doctor so that was nice to come home to. Once the paint smell had subsided, we set up the crib (thank you sister -- it belonged to my niece), the crib bedding (thank you Pat & Roger Wolfe -- their present to us), the changing table (again, thank you sister), and organized the closet with all the goodies I have received thus far!! We are still on the look-out for a gaudy white mirror to hang above the bed (although I will have nightmares of it falling down and crushing her but Kyle assures me that it will not), and I'm ordering an awesome pale pink metal plaque with her initial on it to go above the changing table (that is... when we decide on a name and I actually KNOW her initial)!! But here are some pictures of the progress:
3. Having my baby shower at work. I swear, they sure made me feel so special. Not only was the library at school decorated SOOOOO cute (pictures coming, I just haven't had time to upload them from the camera I used), but the food was amazing, and they all went in and bought me the stroller travel-system (which was a HUGE surprise!!!!), on top of that, some teachers even went beyond and bought MORE things for me and baby, and the art teacher even drew and painted a cute picture of an elephant. I felt so loved and appreciated, and celebrated that if I were one of those emotional pregnant women, I would have cried! LOL!! Kyle and I managed to put the stroller travel system together Saturday and I can't wait to have a little baby down in there to push around!! :)
Miss Anything? Nope, I'm still letting myself have whatever I want -- sushi, caffeine (once or twice per week), whatever whenever!
Movement: Yes!! ALL THE TIME, although when Bub is around wanting to feel her movements she completely stops. He spent nearly 45 minutes Friday night trying to round her up for some kick time and she wasn't having any of it! He's still not been able to feel her kick!
Food Cravings: Nothing specific really anymore
Anything making you sick or queasy: Nope!!
Gender: Female
Labor Signs: Nope, let's pray they hold off for at least 6 weeks!
Symptoms: insomnia, hip/back pain, and this growing tummy
Belly Button in or out? Still half out, half flat, I would say it'll be out by next week :( An outie really grosses me out (sorry to any of you with outies), I just don't like the look. Sister-in-law suggested wearing a band-aid over it -- I may just do that! lol
Wedding Rings on or off? On during the day, off at night!
Happy or Moody most of the time: So very happy!! I am so excited and with all the gifts and things I've received piling up, it's making it so much more real and exciting!!
