Pregnancy Week 21

Pregnancy Week 21:

Over halfway there!! It's hard to believe!!

How Far Along: 21 weeks

Total Weight Gain: 3 pounds

Maternity Clothes: Yep, loving them too!  As seen in this picture = royal blue sweater with gathered sides and button shoulders along with maternity leggins = all from Motherhood Maternity.

Stretch Marks: Nope!  I got scared one day this week when in the mirror I saw some tiger stripes but it turned out to just be from the bed... shew!

Sleep: Still sleeping well.  I go to sleep around 10:30-11 (depending on if I napped that day -- I like to nap from 3-4:30). I usually sleep until 7:30am or whenever the cat wakes me up wanting some breakfast.

Best Moment this week: Picking out paint and items for the nursery (the room from the picture) will be the nursery, we've decided on antique white walls with white trim and white linens.  I also bought some white baskets to organize the closet.  I have finally moved my summer clothes out of this closet and put Baby Wolfe's items inside... it's becoming more real now that in 4 1/2 months there will be another tenant to this home! Yay! :)

Also, I was bored so I registered at BuyBuyBaby and Walmart.  It is estimated that I will have 3 showers between here and Lexington so I registered at Walmart for the Hazard/Hyden folks and BuyBuyBaby for everyone else.  I must say though that if I could have entirely registered at BuyBuyBaby I would have... that store is so addictive and has EVERYTHING under the sun.  Also, until registering I didn't really know how much a newborn baby would actually need! Holy Crap!

Miss Anything? Caffeine... I'm really missing some Diet Pepsi, my morning coffee (decaf just isn't doing it)... I do sneak a few drinks of Kyle's Pepsi every now and then and boy is it delish!

Movement: Very much so!! Yesterday I finally felt her from the outside, she is very active, I'm imagining her doing somersaults in there due to an increase in movement, pressure, then relief!

Food Cravings: Still sweets... anything sweet.  Pinterest will be the death of me, I want to make any cookie, cake, pie, or muffin I see on there! Let's pray gestational diabetes doesn't happen!

Anything making you sick or queasy: Nope!  Still not loving meat too much but I can eat it! I fried some chicken this week and ate the entire breast, I was so proud of myself!  When I get pasta though, I usually pick around the chicken.  I'm also not digging fish -- I know I should eat it but it turns me off -- ewww.

Gender: Girl

Labor Signs: Nope

Symptoms: Nothing but the sweet cravings and moving baby!

Belly Button in or out? In!

Wedding Rings on or off? On!

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy Happy Happy! How could someone not be so entirely ecstatic knowing that there is a baby growing inside of you and will soon enter the world! OMG I sound like one of those sappy goofy moms that makes you want to puke!  It's so true though! ;)

Pregnancy Week 20

Pregnancy: 20 Weeks:

I'm a week behind so let's catch up...

How far along? 20 Weeks

Total weight gain: 2 pounds... I lost about 11 pounds near the beginning so I've been working to gain that back, so technically now, I'm 2 pounds above where I was when I first conceived... not where I need to be but I'm sure trying!

Maternity clothes? Yep!  I'm definitely in maternity pants and MAN ARE THEY COMFY... I just may wear these things even after the baby!  Shirts can go either way... I purchased maternity shirts, but I can still wear "normal" shirts, as seen in this picture.

Best moment this week: Christmas with the family.  I seriously have the best family ever I don't care who you are or what you say, mine is the best!

Movement: Yep! I've been feeling it for a couple of weeks.  It was really hard to tell the difference between movement and gas at first but I think I've figured it out! Can't really feel her move from the outside yet.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope, luckily I NEVER had morning sickness throughout this pregnancy.  I would have waves of nausea but that's about it.  I'm not really digging meat still but I can eat it if it's in something or on a bun.

Gender: Girl

Labor Signs: No

Belly Button in or out? in still, fingers crossed it will stay that way! I'm sure I'm not that lucky!

Wedding rings on or off? on

Happy or Moody most of the time: Very happy every day!!  I am not the "emotional wreck" of a pregnant woman often portrayed in movies, I'm genuinely happy all day!

Looking forward to: finishing up my Christmas break off from school!!! Woo hoo!

Stretch marks? No!  Thank goodness!  They are almost entirely genetic and since Mama and Sissy didn't get them, my chances are slim to none... unless I quickly turn into a whale.

Sleep: sleeping pretty well, insomnia hits me a few nights a week right around 4 am which keeps me awake for a couple hours... not good when you wake up at 6:30am :(

Miss Anything? sleeping on my back! Shew my hips and knees ache from having to lay on my side all night long!  I catch myself flipping onto my back at night and quickly flip myself over.  I'm still sleeping on my stomach though, but with my body propped up on my leg like a kick-stand.

Food cravings: Anything sweet!!  Good thing it's the holidays! I've had peanut butter fudge, banana bread (2 loaves yikes), blueberry muffins, frozen yogurt, etc.  It never ends!!  I NEVER had a sweet tooth before this pregnancy! I could get by eating a brownie about once a month!  Now I must have something sweet every single day after every single meal!

Symptoms: Nothing!  I wouldn't even know I was pregnant besides this growing belly with a moving baby inside it!

For Christmas baby Wolfe racked up on all kinds of goodies!  Her Aunt Jen bought her baby Sperrys, pink leopard Uggs, an awesome pacifier clip embellished with pearls and Swarvoski crystals.  Her Nana bought her a couple onesie pajamas, a beautiful white gown with matching hat with pink frufru on it, and purple and green zebra print PJs.  This baby is on it's way!  I guess I need to clear out her closet of my things and make room for her stuff!

Well here I am...

Why not make a blog?  All the cool kids are doing it!  Besides, I'm a teacher who gets lots of breaks, snow days, etc., this will give me something to occupy my time besides celebrity gossip and other things that, according to my husband, will rot my brain.

I don't necessarily want this blog to have a "theme".  I plan to incorporate all different things within it:

  • my current pregnancy (currently 21 weeks along)... yeah I know, I probably should have been documenting before now...
  • food... I just LOVE food -- looking at food, cooking food, but especially eating food... do I ever enjoy eating food! MMMMMM
  • teaching... sometimes my days can be pretty boring, but sometimes OH sometimes are there ever the funniest stories I'd love to share with others and NOT on Facebook or Twitter! Woo!
  • and anything else that strikes my fancy!
So here goes!  Tips and Pointers are much accepted! :)  Enjoy!
